The Story of Heffy the Unicorn and the Purple Dingos
~A State Band Favorite~
Once upon a time there was a unicorn named Heffy who ate grass. He froliced with purple dingos. His horn was shorter than all of the unicorns. He wanted to be like his unicorn friends. So he went to the Wizard to get advice. The Wizard gave him a magic potion called Miracle Horn. Miracle Horn was a special kind of vitamin that made his horn grow. He took the potion and fell into a deep sleep. When he woke up, he discovered that his horn had grown into a 12 ft long green and hot pink candy stick. Heffy became very popular because he shared his tasty candy horn with the dingos. Actually the didn't like him, they just wanted to eat his candy horn. Eventually the horn was licked away. The dingos got bellyaches from eating too much candy. Heffy was sad until he realized without his horn he was a beautiful horse. The dingos eventually felt better and apologized to Heffy. Heffy and the dingos lived happily ever after.
